Independent Weather Data Documentation Platform
StormRecord is an independent software company based in Boston, Massachusetts. StormRecord is designed for documentation and recordkeeping purposes when accurate historical weather data is needed. We build automated tools that compile archived National Weather Service and NOAA surface observation data into structured, timestamped reports.
Our founder holds a degree in meteorology and built StormRecord to solve a simple problem: accessing and formatting historical weather records has traditionally required hiring a forensic meteorologist or waiting weeks for archived data requests to be processed. StormRecord automates the retrieval and formatting of archived weather observations and delivers structured reports in under 60 seconds.
StormRecord automates the retrieval and formatting of archived weather observations from NOAA and the National Weather Service. Each report compiles hourly surface observations, NWS alerts, and NCEI Storm Events records into a structured, multi-page PDF with full source attribution. Reports are generated in under 60 seconds and delivered instantly.
StormRecord is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or represents NOAA, the National Weather Service, or any U.S. government agency. Our reports compile archived weather observations into a formatted, timestamped document. We do not provide expert testimony, legal advice, or insurance coverage determinations. StormRecord is a data aggregation and formatting service.
StormRecord exists to make historical weather data accessible, structured, and transparent — without opinion, advocacy, or outcome influence.
